Ada Velia DiZebba of La Plata, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at her home. She was 81 years old.

Born on August 8, 1929 in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Vera Pantaleoni Merolli and the late Giovanni Merolli.

A homemaker and mom, Mrs. DiZebba loved bowling and reading. She belonged to a book club and enjoyed all kinds of literary works. She loved to cook, especially Italian meals. She really enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Michael A. DiZebba Sr.; her son Michael A. DiZebba Jr. and his wife Linda; her daughters Denise Quinn and her husband John, Michele Harris and her husband Richard, Joanne Charters and her husband Mike; her grandchildren Michael Quinn, Anthony Harris, Kristen Long, Jenna Kranke and Melissa Charters; her great grandchildren Nicholas Long, Noah Long, Ethan Harris, Alaina Harris, Alexis Quinn and Olivia Quinn.

Visitation on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2PM to 6PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, Maryland 20646 where Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:30AM. Father John Mattingly to officiate. Interment to follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Quinn, Anthony Harris, Michael Kranke, Jeff Long, Dean Campbell and George Earnshaw.
