Charlotte Mary Joyce of Hughesville, Maryland, died on March 19, 2011 at Genesis Health Center in La Plata, MD. She was 91 years old.

Born on March 25, 1919, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Alexandria Bogaslovski Gadomski and the late Stanley Gadomski.

She lived with her parents, five sisters and one brother before moving to Washington, DC prior to World War II. While living and working in DC, she met her future husband, Harold J. Joyce. After their marriage, they raised four daughters and lived in the Washington area until their retirement. Charlotte worked in the U. S. Senate under Senator Barry Goldwater (AZ), then later for Senator Eastland (MS).

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Joyce; her daughter Dianne Krienke; sister Marianne Nakaski; brother Francis Gadomski.

She is survived by her three daughters Carol Ann Parman of Hereford, TX, Marianne Wheeler of Hughesville, MD, and Anna Marie Dail of La Plata, MD; her three sisters Edna Kunkel, Helen Brooks, and Amelia Irby; she is also survived by eight grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

A private service and interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
