Mr. Foster was a Veteran with the United States Army Air Corps, having served during World War II and was a Route Salesman for 30 years with Koester Bakery & Archway. He was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Benedict, MD, a member of the American Legion Post in Hughesville, MD, and a life-time member with the V.F.W. in Waldorf. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed farming, and liked to hunt.

Son of the late Maurice P. Foster and the late Mary Bobbitt Foster

Predeceased by his parents; three brothers, James, Henry, and Gene Foster; and two sisters, Beulah Berry and Laura Wilkerson.

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Grabis Foster; one son, James Robert Foster of Hughesville, MD; one daughter, Penny F. (Donald) Norris of La Plata, MD; one sister, Alma (Cecil) Padgett of Heathville, VA; three grandchildren, Christine Bennett, Charles Norris, and Mary Mendez; and two great-grandchildren, Tiago Mendez and Liana Mendez. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Prayer Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646).

Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Benedict, MD with Father Kevin Cusic officiating.

Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers: James Padgett, Gene Foster, Victor Grabis, Allen Wilkerson, Wayne Wilkerson and Bradley Berry.

Honorary Pallbearers: United States Army Guard
