Chuck L. Hovland, 68 of Prince Frederick passed away on February 1, 2011 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. Chuck was born on November 12, 1942 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Chris and Minnie Hovland.

He was a graduate of Menomonie High School class of 1961. Chuck and his family moved to Calvert County in 1984. After more than 30 years of service in the U.S. Census Bureau Chuck retired from the federal government.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his wife Idabelle Hovland of Prince Frederick, MD and his two daughters, Christine Hovland of Silver Spring, MD and Stephanie Hovland of Huntingtown, MD. He is also surrived by his brothers, Richard (Diann) Hovland of Wheeler, WI., Robert (Natalie) Jacobson, of Martinsville, VA., Roger (Eileen) Jahnke, of Green Bay, WI., James (Ruth) Erdman, of Toms River, NJ., and his sister Lou Ann Young, of Colorado Springs, CO.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday February 7, 2011 at the Rausch Funeral Home, P.A. 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD 20676 from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 PM in the funeral home Monday evening.

Interment will be private.
