Kenneth Ralph Turner, 70, died January 21, 2011 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Born August 4, 1940 in Piscataway, MD, he was the son of Elmer Rudolph Turner and Ivy Fittall Turner.

Mr. Turner served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960. He later operated "Ken's Breakfast House" in Fultondale, Alabama from 1990-2001 and was also a member of the American Legion there. In later years Kenneth owned his own painting company.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Orean Turner and brothers, Bill Turner, Jeff Turner and Ted Turner.

He is survived by his children, Danny Turner and Julie Turner of Fredericksburg, VA and Kelly Turner of North Carolina; sisters, Barbara Frye of Dameron, MD and Maureen Wood of Annapolis, MD and brother, Don Turner of Edgewater, MD, life-long friends, Jerome and Maxine Haynes and good friends, Wayne and Betty Brown of Fultondale, AL.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30295 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Activities Department, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, 29449 Charlotte Hall Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
