Mrs. Washburn worked for American Tobacco Company in North Carolina for over 40 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wentworth North Carolina. She enjoyed working in her yard and trips to the beach at Surf City, North Carolina. She loved being with her family and friends and her two cats, Sam and Patches. She also enjoyed horseback riding in her youth.

Daughter of the late Marshall Jennings Talley and the late Lucy Corum Talley.

Predeceased by her parents; husband of 44 years, Lewis E. Washburn, Jr. and two sisters, Eunice Dix and Elaine Dove.

Survived by her daughter, Rita L. and her husband Baron Weaver of Hughesville, MD; grandsons, Andy and John Weaver; great-grandson, Paul Weaver.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at a later date in Wentworth, North Carolina.

Interment will take place in the family cemetery in North Carolina.
