Mrs. Jenifer was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD and a self-employed Domestic Worker for 40 years. She enjoyed playing cards, walking, Bingo, being at church and with friends, and trips to Atlantic City.

She was daughter of the late Phillip Cole and the late Agnes Brown Cole.

She was predeceased by her parents.

She is survived by her adopted mother, Catherine Brown; five sons, Michael Newton of Waldorf, MD, William (Theresa) Jenifer of Pomfret, MD, Gary Jenifer of VA, Maurice Jenifer of NC, and Howard Wood of Bryans Road, MD; three daughters, Janice (Junior) Washington of Nanjemoy, MD, Barbara Canada of King George, VA, and Eunice (George) Proctor of Lexington Park, MD; two brothers, Leonard Harvey of La Plata, MD, and Cecil Duckett of White Plains, MD; one sister, Gloria Cole of La Plata. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 9AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Clergy will be Father John Reutemann.

Interment will be private.

Pallbearers will be family members.
