James "Jim" Lloyd Keyton, 80, of Waldorf, MD, died September 13, 2010, at Capital Hospice in Arlington, VA.

Mr. Keyton served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1963 and then worked on the presidential fleet as an aircraft mechanic at Andrews Air Force Base for the next ten years. Later in 1996, Jim became a minister with Pinecrest Ministerial Fellowship. He made twenty-two trips to Israel to help the poor and needy providing them with much needed food, clothes, medical supplies, appliances and funds for surgical procedures, when needed. When he retired, his hobby was fixing used cars and appliances. Jim assisted with building churches in Africa, Israel and locally at Calvary Grace AG, Cedarville AG and the Worship Center. Jim and his wife, Barbara, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

Born January 6, 1930, in Brooklyn, MD, he was the son of the late Samuel John Keyton and the late Lillian Pauline Heim Keyton.

Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harold B. and Lloyd S. Keyton.

Survived by his wife, Barbara Elizabeth Clingan Keyton; daughters, Kristen Elizabeth and her husband Keith Godwin of Fairfax, VA; Lori Lynn Keyton of Waldorf, MD; sons, James Samuel and his wife Judy Keyton of Millersville, MD; Gregory Lloyd Keyton of La Plata, MD; sister, Mildred Altland of Hanover, PA; brothers, Charles W. Keyton of Severn, MD; Kenneth B. Keyton of Port Charlotte, FL; Melvin G. Keyton of Hagerstown, MD; Ronald E. Keyton of Hagerstown, MD. Also survived by 11 amazing grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 5PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Friday, September 17, 2010, beginning at 1:30PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Pallbearers will be all his grandsons.

Interment will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on Friday, September 17, 2010.
