Nicholas Alan Sinsel, 17, of La Plata, Maryland, died from injuries sustained in a dirt bike accident on September 2, 2010 at Prince Georges Hospital Trauma Center surrounded in love by his family and friends.

Born on October 24, 1992 in La Plata, Maryland he is the son of E. Alan Sinsel and Becky Goldsmith Sinsel, both of La Plata, Md.

Nicholas was educated by the Charles County Public School system. He had worked at Safeway in La Plata and the Blue Crabs Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland.

He was a free-spirited young man who brought laughter into the lives of all those privileged enough to know him. Nicholas played football in the Charles County Youth Football League starting at age 4 and continued until he was 13. He played for the Indian Head Braves and the La Plata Blue Knights, where he met many wonderful families, especially the Waldbauer family. He had a love of music and an incredible natural talent which enabled him to play numerous musical instruments. Including the viola, upright bass, guitar, drums, keyboards and bass guitar. He was involved in the Maryland Point Baptist Church Youth Band and was currently playing drums in the Eyes of the Ancient band.

Nicholas had a loving heart and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He will be remembered for his uncanny sense of humor, quick wit, and mischievous smile.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Holly Sinsel (20), and his half-sisters Natalie Fox (7), Mackenzie Fox (6) and Alaina Fox (4), all of La Plata, Md.

Grandparents, E. Paul and Alice "Sweetie" Sinsel of La Plata, Md., Ruth and Art Creighton of LaPlata, Md. and the late Billy Goldsmith of Chapel Point, Md.

Aunts and uncles are Caryn Sinsel Daniele and her husband, Larry; Paul Goldsmith and his wife Julianna, Judy Fields and her husband, Dan; Dottie Moats; Joe Goldsmith, and Teresa Willingham and her husband, Steve.

Cousins are Jeff Bowie, Jennifer Moats Bowling, Andrew Willingham and Cheyenne Goldsmith.

Extended family members include step-father, Carlin Fox, Emily and Caitlin Fox, Darlene Schick, and many other relatives.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. La Plata, Md. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7th at the Sacred Heart Church La Plata, Md. from 4 to 8pm with a prayer service beginning at 7pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10am on Wednesday, September 8th. Burial will take place at St. Charles Cemetery in Glymont, Md
