Carrollton "Kaki" Edward Reese, Jr., 66 of Savage, MD and formerly of Landover, MD died on June 21, 2010 in Culpeper, VA. Born January 12, 1944 in Washington, DC he was the son of Carrollton Edward Reese, Sr. of Hollywood, MD and the late Marion Gertrude Wright.

He is also survived by his daughter Elizabeth Rilley and her husband Justin Rilley of Culpeper, VA, as well as his step children; Natalie Steen of Stevensville, MD, Cynthia Capaldi of Kennett, PA, and John Frank of Chesapeake, VA, his siblings; Michael Reese of Hollywood, MD and Timothy Reese of Lorton, VA as well as nine grandchildren.

Kaki graduated from Gonzaga High School in 1961, going on to the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor's Degree in 1967. Carrollton was a Sr. Mechanical Estimator with Tompkins Builders as well as a United States Capital Police. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving from March 13, 1968 through March 12, 1974 and while serving he received the Army Commendation Medal. He received Commendation in 1971 from the Veterans Administration for his volunteer work during the Vietnam War. Kaki was a life member of the VFW and received the title of Aide-De-Camp in 1972. He was also the Post Commander at post 8950 from 1973-1974. He belonged to ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers) and the NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers). In his spare time Kaki enjoyed fishing and golfing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at 10:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD with Fr. Emon Dignan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
