Patricia Ruth Anderson, 84 of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Bowie, MD, died on June 21, 2010 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Born on May 4, 1926 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Edward Aloysius and Ruth Thelma Mundy Bland. Ms. Anderson was a homemaker. Her enjoyments were knitting, crocheting, crafting, going to yard sales, collecting jewelry, and tropical fish.

Predeceased by her husband, Raymond V. Anderson and a brother, Buddy Bland.

Survived by her sons and their spouses, Raymond V. and Fran Anderson and Richard T. and Jennifer Anderson, a sister, Sharon Inscoe, and six grandchildren, Kathryn, John, Richard, Jr., George, and Rachel Anderson, and Lauren Fay.

Family will receive friends to Celebrate Patricia's Life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Father Peter Alliata officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
