Juanita Elizabeth Wrenn, 73, also known as Nita Wrenn of Bryans Road, MD passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at home.

She is preceded in death by her parents; James L. Powell, Sr., and Mariam Wallace.

She is the widow of the late USMC Retired Master Sgt. Robert K. Wrenn, Sr.

She is survived by two children and their families; Robert K. Wrenn, Jr., his wife Alma, and their son Matthew, all of La Plata; and Kimberly Ann Gates and her husband Roscoe of Port Tobacco, and Kim's sons, Rob Alling of Bryans Road and Randy Alling of Amery, Wisconsin. In addition her brother; James L. Powell, Jr. survive Mrs. Wrenn, and his wife Linda of Ohio, and her sister; Brenda Swanson of Glen Allen, Virginia. Her best and supportive friend throughout the years Patricia Stephens also survives her.

Mrs. Wrenn retired in 2002 from Maryland Bank and Trust as the branch manager of Fort Washington. She loved to bake cakes and even taught cake decorating for the county years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her youngest grandson, Matthew.

A life celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10 am at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Charles County P.O. Box 1703 La Plata, MD 20646.
