Marvin "Mopey" Edward Barber, 82 of Tall Timbers, MD passed away on May 21, 2010 at his residence.

Born March 8, 1928 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Marvin and Mary Barber.

Mr. Barber served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was retired from NSA as a Security Officer and also retired as a Fishing Charter Captain out of Tall Timbers, MD on his boat the "Mopey Rose". He was a member of the American Legion and a twenty five year member of the MD Charter Boat Captain's Association.

Mr. Barber is survived by his wife Marilyn Miller Barber of Tall Timbers, MD, daughter; Wendy B. Hankins of Greeneville, TN, step-daughter; Diane D. Cooney of Silver Spring, MD, father-in-law; Melvin C. Miller of Silver Spring, MD, cousin; Daniel J. Harris of Cabin John, MD, step-grandchildren; Joey, Jimmy and Sean Cooney.

Family will receive friends for Mopey's Life Celebration on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Tall Timbers Marina, Tall Timbers, MD.
