Robert Thomas Carpenter, 48, of Great Mills, MD (formerly of Morningside, MD) died Monday, May 3, 2010.

Born June 29, 1961 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Richard A. Carpenter, Sr. and Frances C. Carpenter.

Robert was a talented house painter and skilled in trim carpentry and welding. Throughout his working career, he held jobs with Paragon Builders in California, MD, Beltway Iron in Forestville, MD and as a landscape foreman at the St. Mary's County Department of Recreation and Parks. He had a great love of the outdoors. His favorite hobbies included fishing and taking walks with his beloved dog, Paco.

Robert is survived by his devoted sister, Frances Carpenter Stump and brother-in-law Mike Stump of Lusby, MD and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael A., David C., and Richard A. Carpenter, Jr.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
