Helen Christine Dean, 87, of Waldorf, MD, formerly of Marlow Heights, MD, died March 14, 2010, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.

Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD. In her early years, she worked as a Registered Nurse at hospitals in the Washington area. During her time of residence at Marlow Heights, she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Prince George's County where she was very active. She was a volunteer helper with Meals on Wheels and the Knights of Columbus.

Born October 12, 1922, in Mildred, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Reagan and the late Josephine O'Connor.

Predeceased by her parents and her husband, J. Warren Dean.

Survived by sons, James W. and his wife Janet Dean, Jr., of Chapel Hill, NC; John S. Dean of Clinton, MD; daughter, Patricia A. and her husband Nicholas Dispenza of Kent, WA; brother, Carlos Reagan of Webster, NY; sister, Christine MacDonald of Bowie, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2010, from 10AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602.

Father Thomas Crowley will officiate.

Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
