Mary Isabelle Spalding, 89, formerly of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Port Tobacco, Maryland.

Born on September 13, 1932 in Hughesville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Morris Leo Jenkins and Elsie Lucille Jenkins. A homemaker and mom, Mary enjoyed word search puzzles and taking walks. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband John C. Spalding; grandson David Davis; brothers Maurice Jenkins and James Jenkins.

She is survived by her children Mary Elaine Knott, Jayne Folkman, Brenda Spalding Giammerino, Patrick Spalding, and Donna Davis; grandchildren Tara Mitchell (Mitch), Justin Matthews (Rebecca), Ashley Knott, Brittany Giammerino, Joshua Davis, and JR Spalding; nine great grandchildren; siblings Margaret Kolberg (Carl), Betty Todd (Rick), and Patrick Jenkins; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 2PM to 4PM and from 6PM to 8PM with Prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10AM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
