It is with great sadness we announce the death of Michael McManus Mayhew Jr. Michael McManus Mayhew Jr., 59, of Owings, Maryland, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Calvert Health Medical Center. Michael was born 12/17/1962 in Cheverly, Maryland. He attended Northern High School where he graduated from in 1982. Michael worked at Merton as a plumber. He loved to spend time with his daughter, Valarie Mayhew and watch her grow in many things, especially becoming a Police Officer. He also loved spending time with his little dog, Bearsy. Michael loved spending time with his family and friends. Michael had many hobbies which included collecting wolves and classics. Some of his other hobbies included doing arts N crafts and attending car shows. His favorite singer was Tanya Tucker, and his favorite holiday was Christmas. Michael always loved and made time to listen and talk to many people. Michael McManus Mayhew Jr. is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his loving daughter Valarie Nicole Mayhew of Clarion, PA, his twin sister Margaret J. Woods of Owings, and sisters Mary A. Mullins of Hughesville, Marie T. Dorsey and husband James of Chaptico, and Melody A. Huckelby and husband Tommy, Sr. of Owings. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many other loved ones and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Mary Patricia Ann (Boswell) and Michael McManus Mayhew, Sr.

Family and friends will be received Thursday January 27 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Friday January 28 from 10-11 AM at Rausch Funeral Home in Owings, where a Funeral Service and Celebration of Michael's life will be held Friday January 28 at 11:00 AM.

Michael's Services will be livestreamed on the Rausch Funeral Home Facebook page starting five minutes before the time of Service at 11:00 AM on Friday.
