Gary Eugene Fortney, age 59, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, died July 5, 2019 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. Gary was a window installer for many different construction companies for 40 plus years. He was of the Catholic faith and lived his younger years in the Forestville, Maryland area. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars, bowling, playing guitar, building models, and liked sketching and drawing.

He was the son of Eugene Raymond Fortney and Helen Elizabeth Ford Fortney. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Bruce Gibbons. He is survived by his son, Gary Clayton Fortney and his wife, Ashley; his daughter, Melissa Fortney and her companion, Richard Graham; his sister, Linda L. Martin and her husband, Steve; and his granddaughter, Ryleigh L. Graham. Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
