Yvonne Anne (MacDonald) Kirscht, 82, passed to the arms of Our Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Fenwick Landing Assisted Living Facility in Waldorf, Maryland. She was born May 15, 1936 in McKeesport, PA to the late Mary (Zywiczynski) and Leo MacDonald.

She grew up in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was the eldest of five siblings. She graduated from Mount Mercy College (Carlow University) Pittsburgh in 1958 where she earned a degree in Dietetic Nutrition. She worked as a Dietician for the Veteran's Administration in several hospitals to include Bronx, New York, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Miami, Florida, Boston, Massachusetts, and VA Central Office, Washington, DC. She had 25 years of federal civil service.

Yvonne was the loving wife of Eugene Joseph Kirscht, Sr. of La Plata, Maryland whom she married on February 20, 1971 at St. Stephen Church, Framingham, Massachusetts. She was introduced to Eugene by a good friend and colleague, Ellie Morey. Yvonne was very proud of her Scottish ancestry. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, baking, cooking, knitting, dancing, reading and crossword puzzles.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Quicker (Dennis) of Potomac, Maryland; her sons, John Brian Kirscht (Cathy) of La Plata, Maryland, Edward Joseph Kirscht (Jennifer) of Abell, Maryland, and Eugene Joseph Kirscht, Jr. (Noreen) of La Plata, Maryland; her grandchildren, Kevin Quicker, Cynthia Mancinelli, Krista Quicker, J.B. Kirscht, Bradley Kirscht, Lauren Kirscht, and Cameron Kirscht; her great granddaughter, Cecilia Mancinelli; her sisters, June Wolfe (Fred) of Texas and Bernadette MacDonald of Florida. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Marilea Albert of Texas and brother, James MacDonald of Pennsylvania.

Friends received on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata, Maryland. Interment on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 1PM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery (Cheltenham) 20623. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
