Mary Ruth Schroeder of Chesapeake Beach, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the age of 57. Mary enjoyed taking care of plants, cheering for the Washington Redskins and going to the beach. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, and she collected teddy bears from the various Hard Rock Cafes around the world. She was a member of the Concord Club of Washington, DC and attended the Covenant Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Owings, MD.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Peter Schroeder, who passed away in 2015. She was the loving mother of Erika Davis (Michael) and the devoted "Nana" to grandchildren: Kolton, Kinzle and Kamden. She was the daughter of Shirl and Joseph DiGirolamo, sister of Thomas DiGirolamo (Dawn), aunt of Alex, Nathan, Stefanie, Alexis and Alyssa, daughter-in-law of Pauline and Fred Shroeder and sister-in-law of Jackie and Steve Rowland.

Family invites friends to Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on Thursday, October 25 from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Covenant Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1601 W. Mt. Harmony Road, Owings, MD on Friday, October 26 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Jesus the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
