Richard George Larsen, 80, of Waldorf, MD passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Helen Larsen. He graduated at John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA. He proudly served in the United States Navy in 1955. He was honorably discharged in 1958 and then worked at Wilkin's Coffee in Washington, D.C. He later was employed at Providence Hospital in D.C. for 37 years and retired in 1999.

He loved family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Summer months he spent most of his time in his garden and crabbing with family and friends. He was an avid hunter for most of his life and proudly displayed his trophies at home.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie Larsen and his daughters Terry Chernek (Robert) of Hughesville, Patricia Ward (Ken) of Huntingtown, Melissa Larsen of Waldorf, and Yolande Chandler (Jesse) of Chaptico. He was a proud "Pop" to nine grandchildren, Robby and Brooke Chernek, Ken and Preslee Ward, Elissa and Abigail Larsen, and Marissa, Mason, and Madden Chandler.

Visitation will be at Huntt Funeral Home February 17,2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on a later date.
