Charles Raymond Bowling, 65, of Allens Fresh, Maryland passed on January 22, 2018. Born on April 4, 1952 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Winifred Garner Bowling and Walter Wade Bowling Jr. Chuck was raised and worked on the family farm at Allens Fresh for many years.

He ended his professional career in July 2008, retiring as Service Manager with Suburban Propane. He was a avid golfer and accomplished musician. He played drums and sang in several local bands including Wiskers and The Reivers. Playing hundreds of events a year his favorite booking was playing for Jerry's Kids at Camp Maria every summer.

In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his brothers William Vincent "Billy" Bowling and John Parran "J. P." Bowling. He is survived by his daughters Kimberly Michele Lacey and her husband Allen and Kelly Marie Pettit; brother Woodrow B. Bowling, grandchildren Jordyn Marie Pettit and James Aley Lacey; former wife Helena Pogue; longtime companion Kristy McAndrew; sister-in-law Bettie Bowling; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11 AM at the La Plata United Methodist Church, 3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD 20646. Pallbearers are George Henderson, Jim Morris, Jesse Bowling, Allen Lacey, Ron Talton, and Pat Bowling. Interment to follow services at Dentsville Methodist Church Cemetery in La Plata, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Maria 41290 Camp Maria Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements by Raymond funeral Service.
