Steven James Lengquist of Waldorf, Maryland, died on December 5, 2017 at his home. He was 59 years old. Born on September 9, 1959 in Clear Lake, South Dakota, he was the son of Eleanor Mae Nelson and the late James Edward Lengquist. Steven served in the U. S. Marine Corps until his retirement in 2013 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He then worked at the Pentagon as an Explosive Safety Specialist.

In his spare time, Steven enjoyed teaching hunter's education to the youth as well as to adults. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, especially in charitable runs, such as the Toys for Tots, Poker Run for Charlotte Hall Veterans Home and many others. Steven also enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Rochelle Ann Lengquist; daughters Ashley Miller and her husband Ben, Samantha Lengquist; son Jason A. Alexander; grandsons Caleb and Joshua Miller; siblings Laurie Santos and Wayne Lengquist; Uncle Richard York, who was like a father to Steven, aunt Geraldine Gageby, and aunt Carol Scott.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4 PM to 6 PM with a Service to begin at 6 PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646. Service and Interment to take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date and time. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
