Lori Jean Hitt, 54, of La Plata, Maryland died January 3, 2017 at the Charles County Hospice House in Waldorf, Maryland. She was the daughter of Robert L. Cleaveland, Sr. and Eleanor R. Cleaveland.

Lori worked 18 years as a pharmacy/cashier at Giant Food Stores and was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of the Silver Hill Lions Club. She enjoyed attending Blue Crab baseball games and Lions Club demolition derbies. She was a collector of lighthouses and loved being at the beach. Her most treasured time was with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father; her husband of 35 years, Robert C. Hitt; her son, Robert K. Hitt; her daughter, Amanda N. Stubaus and husband David; her brothers, Robert Cleaveland Jr. and wife Marylou, Larry W. Cleaveland and wife Stephanie, Richard L. Cleaveland and Carl D. Cleaveland; her sisters, Deborah L. Cleaveland, Janice E. Young and husband Ronald, and Patricia A. Cleaveland and husband Gerard Magrogan; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Emalee, Kassidy, and Carson.

Friends received on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 2PM until time of Memorial Service at 4PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
