Thomas Stealey Gibson Jr., 82, of White Plains, MD died unexpectedly on January 2, 2017 at his home. Born in Washington, DC on February 17, 1934 to the late Thomas Stealey Gibson, Sr. and the late Ruth Peterson Gibson, Thomas is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sarah. He is survived by his son, Derek A. Gibson; niece, Julie Taylor; nephew, Robbie Taylor; and dear friends, Hans and Judy Lobisch.

Thomas served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and retired from PEPCO as a cable splicer. He was a Redskins fan and enjoyed watching classic movies in his spare time. Above all, Thomas loved his wife and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, PA (211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD); where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10AM; Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd., Waldorf, MD).
