Mary Ellen Waid-Gautier, 60, of La Plata, MD passed away on December 28, 2016 at home. Born on August 4, 1956 in Washington, DC to the late Kenneth Lang and the late Eleanora Lang. Mary Ellen is also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Lang and James Lang. Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Paul Gautier; daughter, Julie Diana; brother, William Lang; sister, Carol Gregory; brothers-in-law, Carlos Lusby and Jose Gautier; sisters-in-law, Teresa Lusby and Wanda Gautier; niece, Laura Allen; nephew, Thomas Gregory; and grandchildren, Matthew, Adrianna, Kylin, Morgan Luis and Joey.

Mary Ellen was employed as a truck driver for T.E. Woods. She was a member of the Hughesville Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending church services and Sunday school. Mary Ellen was also involved with Celebrate Recovery and opened her home for people in recovery. In her spare time, she liked traveling, riding motorcycles, trucking and going to auto and truck shows. Above all, Mary Ellen loved being with her daughter and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2016 at the Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown Rd., Hughesville, MD from 5PM to 8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at 10AM, with Pastor Kevin Cullins officiating; Interment to follow at Weslyan Memorial Gardens, 9609 Shepherd's Creek Pl., La Plata, MD.
