Obdulia Marrero, 91, of Waldorf, MD died on November 11, 2016 at UMD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

Obdulia was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD, where she remained a very active parishioner. Obdulia was also very active in her former parish, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in NY. She was a Coordinator at the Senior Center for more than 20 years and also served as a school crossing guard. She loved cooking and was a dedicated mother to all her children.

She was the daughter of the late Artemio Rivera and the late Teresa Arroyo Colon Rivera. In addition to her parents, Obdulia was preceded in death by her husband, James Marrero; and two sons, James Marrero, Jr. and James L. Marrero. She is survived by two sons, Emil (Drenee) Marrero and Steve (Ursula) Marreo; one daughter, Sandra (Clyde) Jarmon; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends received on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, with Wake Service at 7pm, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Thursday, November 17, 2016 (time is pending at this time) at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 3320 St. Peter's Drive, Waldorf, MD 20601. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
