George Spencer Thompson, 99, of Bel Alton, Maryland died October 25, 2016, just days before his 100th birthday. George was a life-long farmer and member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Chapel Point, Maryland. He was a member of the Charles County Farm Bureau. He loved gardening and tending to his horses and chickens.

He was the son of Joseph Andrew Thompson and Viola Leona Marlow Thompson. He is survived by his sister, Anna Mae Voight of Rockville, Maryland; his nieces, Marie Redmond, Teresa Wood, Diane, and Roxanne; and his nephews, Edward Voight, Raymond Voight, Patrick Voight, and Charles Wood.

Friends received on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (Chapel Point). Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
