Mary Lee Bowman, 82, of Prince Frederick, Maryland died October 15, 2016 at her home. She was born on December 6, 1933 in Largo, Maryland to the late Arthur Lee and Mary Ellen DeMar Dennison. Besides her parents, Mary Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and son, Dana.

Mary Lee graduated from Maryland Park High School in 1951. Mary Lee was a lifelong member of Elks #2620 which left her with plenty of memories of her husband, Jerry and friends. She spent every day with her nose in a book or her hands in the garden.

Devoted mother of Cyndy Jurney and her husband Frank, Thomas Penrod and his wife Carol, Deborah Vereen and her husband Graham, Candice D'Agastino and her husband Phil, Laura Buttry and her husband Justin and Jeff "Fro" Bowman and his wife Dawn. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and her sister Eleanor Ann Dougherty.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD where services will be held on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 11 AM.
