Duane "D.J." Arthur Hindt Jr., 27, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on October 2, 2016 at his residence. Born April 12, 1989 in Clinton, MD he was the son of Kathleen C. and Duane A. Hindt, Sr. In addition to his parents "D.J." is survived by his daughter, Delilah C. Hindt, sister, Lisa (Dustin Riggs) Strausbaugh of Fort Wayne, IN and nephew Taylor Tyson of Mechanicsville, MD.

"D.J." graduated from Chopticon High school class of 2007, he was an Information Technology/Software Developer for General Dynamics. He was also a server at Captain Leonard's in Mechanicsville, MD.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with prayers recited at 7:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Father Michael Tietjen officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD. Arrangements by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.
