Margie Ann Welch, 78, of La Plata, Maryland died May 22, 2016.

Margie was a Beautician for 45 plus years at Betti's Hair Salon in La Plata, Maryland. In her earlier years, she worked for the Metro Drug Store in La Plata. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, eating crabs, the beach and pools (sun worshiper), and being with the "girls" at the beauty shop. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking and entertaining for her friends and family. She was known to everyone as "Aunt Margie."

She was the daughter of Thomas Archie Welch and Hazel Lillian Wenk. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Lee Welch and Joe Welch and her sisters, Polly Strak and Linda "Boo Boo" Welch.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Jean Coburn (John Begovich); her sister-in-law, Dee Welch; and her brother-in-law, Tom Strak. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends received on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5-8PM and where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
