Mildred Louise (Hyde) Phillips, 79, of Indian Head, MD passed away on May 19, 2016 at the Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Mildred was born in Pisgah, MD on December 16, 1936 to the late Southgate Hyde and the late Mabel Agnes Hyde. She was also predeceased by her brother, Leonard Hyde. Mildred is survived by her brother, Louis Hyde; sisters, Mabel Johnson and Mattie Schaffer; and sons, Robbie Phillips and Jake Phillips.

Mildred liked to cross stitch and was extremely talented at wood working. She worked at Hyde's Nursey for 10 years and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Above all, she loved spending Friday nights with her family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 1-3PM and from 5-7PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Pisgah United Methodist Church, 7020 Poorhouse Rd., Indian Head, MD. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
