Jerry Wayne Shaw, 73, of California, Maryland peacefully passed away in Callaway, Maryland on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Born on August 14, 1942 in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late William Ward Shaw and Gladys Maleda Baker Shaw.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and volunteering. He was a member of NARFE and was a Mason. Jerry was devoted to his family and was active in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He was a member of the DC National Guard for 10 years and retired from Architect of the Capital after 38 years of service.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jerry is survived by his wife, Suzanne and his 3 sons; Timothy (Donna) Shaw, Jeffrey (Denise) Shaw and Brian Shaw. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Rachel, Joshua and Erin; and his brother, Ira W. Shaw.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 2-5:00 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland, with Masonic prayers at 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Monday, May 16, 2016, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor Ann Strickler officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
