Virginia Lee "Ginny" Madewell, 81 of Leonardtown, MD, formerly of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on April 23, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1934 in Beachville, MD to the late George A. "Capt. Riley" Wilson and Alice Greene Wilson.

On August 25, 1952 Ginny married her beloved husband, Aaron McKinley Madewell at Calvary United Methodist Church. Together they celebrated over 63 wonderful years of marriage together.

She worked as a Librarian in Fort Worth. She was an excellent cook and healthy food and nutrition was important to her. She was a beautiful dancer and loved to jitterbug. She enjoyed gardening and had beautiful flower beds. Some of her most memorable vacations were to Solomons, MD.

In addition to her beloved husband, Ginny is also survived by her children, Rodney Madewell (Cyndi) of Leonardtown, MD and Lance Madewell of Fort Worth, TX; her sister, Joyce Cernoch of White Plains, MD; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren and many extended family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Madewell Vaughn and siblings, John Wilson, Raymond Wilson and Gloria Fairbanks.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. David Beaubien at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11am at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 16566 Three Notch Road, Ridge, MD 20680.
