Luther Raymond Lane, 63, of Lexington Park, MD passed away April 14, 2016 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1952 in Camden, N.J. to the late Arvid James and Ethel Moore Lane.

Luther proudly served in the United States Navy from July 1969 to his honorable discharge in February 1971. During his service he earned the National Defense Service Medal. On October 10, 1987, Luther married his beloved wife, Tracy Marney Lane. Together they celebrated over 28 wonderful years of marriage. He was employed by the Federal Government as a dedicated postal worker, and firefighter. His hobbies included woodworking and leatherwork.

In addition to his wife, Tracy Luther is also survived by his children, Casey Irene Lane of Parkville, MD, Hollie Renee Lane of Mechanicsville, MD, Kerry Patricia Lane of Jacksonville, NC; his siblings, Timothy Lane of Lusby, MD, Sheree Bulchholz of Lexington Park, MD, and Lona Lee Ogg of Lusby, MD; his grandchildren, Corrin Dannielle Lane, Trystin Bateman, and Kody Bateman; and his great- grandchildren, Romeo Johnson and ShaeLee Smith.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Rae Lane and his brother, Bruce Whittick. All services will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.
