Ruth 'Ruthie' Louise Farley, 88, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, passed April 4, 2016. Ruth was born on January 5, 1928, in Libertytown, Maryland, the daughter of the late Reverend Albert Alfred Pierce and Helen (Cox) Pierce.

Ruth was a retired civilian employee of the District of Columbia Air National Guard.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Fred Farley, sister, Phyllis Finfgeld and son-in-law Henry C. Sanders. She is survived by her son, Johney Farley, daughter-in-law Nancy of Brandon, Florida; daughters Janet Sanders of Indian Land, South Carolina and Carol Farley of Mechanicsville, Maryland; brother Albert Pierce and sisters Virginia DeGrishe, Patricia Jeffers; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Monday, April 11, 2016, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Donations in her memory can be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O.
