William Hamilton Scholten, 53, of Lexington Park, MD, passed away on March 8, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 21, 1962 in Fort Meade, MD to Robert Scholten, Sr. and Frances Eloise Lugenbeel Scholten.

Bill was self-employed in construction with over 35 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time on the water, especially boating, fishing, and crabbing. He thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be on the water, gardening, or just mowing the grass. He also loved NASCAR, when it was on he was in the zone.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Brittany Smith (Jesse) of California, MD and Blair Scholten of Lexington Park, MD; his siblings, Linda Slade (Joe) of Valley Lee, MD and David Scholten (Diane) of Mechanicsville, MD. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Scholten, Jr., Pam Reinohl and John Scholten, Sr.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Joe Orlando at 12:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P. A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.
