Thomas Oden, Bowling Jr., 59, of Charlotte Hall, MD died on Tuesday, March 2, 2016 at Washington Hospital Center. Born September 20, 1956 in La Plata, MD, he was the son the late Thomas Oden Bowling and Annie Higgs Bowling.

Thomas was a supervisor at D-J's Inc. Thomas was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing and tending to his vegetable garden. Most of all he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents and sister Mary French, Thomas is survived by his wife Tammy Bowling; sons Daniel Bowling, David Bowling and Tom Bowling; daughters Audrey Moreland, Rita Earnshaw, and Brittany Bowling; sisters Linda May, Susan Saunders, Ann Garofalo, Joan Bowling, Fay Bowling, and Barbara Harmon; and 12 grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2015 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Trinity Episcopal Church Newport, 9560 Trinity Church Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00AM at Trinity Episcopal Church Newport followed by internment.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bowling, David Bowling, Tim May, Larry Graves, Hunter Bowling, Michael Bowling, Nathan Bowling, and Jake Hertzler. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield Echols Funeral Home.
