Diane Deborah Porter, 67, of Lexington Park, MD passed away on February 15, 2016 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. She was born on October 28, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walter Bloom and Vivian Oberg.

On October 4, 1975, Diane married her beloved husband, John Thomas Porter in Philadelphia, PA. Together they celebrated over 40 wonderful years of marriage.

Diane was a compassionate and dedicated nurse for many years until her retirement. Her hobbies included studied rocks and minerals and making them into beautiful pieces of jewelry, photography, nature walks and watching baseball. One of her favorite travel destinations was to Acadia Park in Maine. She was a member of Hollywood United Methodist Church, including the women's organization there. She had a beautiful voice and sang with the Sweet Adeline's, Patuxent Pearls and Hollywood United Methodist Church choir. Her greatest love was spending time with her husband.

Diane is survived by her husband, John and many loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 9:30-11:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service celebrated by Reverend Sheldon Reese at 11:00 a.m., at Hollywood United Methodist Church, 24422 Mervell Dean Road, Hollywood, MD 20636. Interment will follow at Joy Chapel Cemetery in Hollywood, MD. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.
