Helen Marie (Hill) Law, 82, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Fenwick Landing Senior Care Community, Waldorf, Maryland, from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

Helen was born December 14, 1933 in Budds Creek, MD. She was a life-long resident of Southern Maryland. Helen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Larnie Law whom she married in 1953; her infant son, Gary Keith Law; parents Joseph Dixie Hill and Ida Catherine (Thompson) Hill; siblings William Hill, Joseph Bruce Hill, Edith Hill, Ella Pilkerton, and Anna Larsen.

Helen leaves behind her children Ronald Law (Peggy), Steven Law (Sue), Daniel Law, Patricia Law Grasso (Michael), and Douglas Law (Natasha); grandchildren – Chris Steedman (Nick), Erin Law, Stephanie Bonovitch (Charles), Ashlee Law, Brandon and Amy Grasso, Mark Law, Kristen Thomas (Brandon), Cindy and Cara Law; great-grandchildren – Grace and Hannah Steedman, Mya and Alanna Pope, Charlie and Dalton Bonovitch. She is also survived by her sisters Ida Elizabeth Gray and Catherine Ann Mullen (Duane), and many more loving relatives who knew her fondly as "Nellie."

Helen retired from the Board of Education of Charles County in 1998 after 31 years of dedicated service. She loved cooking and spending time with her family, but especially with her grandchildren who already thought she was an angel.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday February 14, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD. A funeral mass will be held 10 AM Monday February 15, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 3320 St. Peter's Drive, Waldorf, MD. Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Garden, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD immediately following the mass. Contributions may be made in Helen's honor to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements provided by Huntt Funeral Home.
