Beatrice Elmira "Bea" Burriss, 86, of Mechanicsville, passed away on December 29, 2015 in La Plata, MD. Born May 12, 1929 in Joplin, VA she was the daughter of the late Milton Miller and late Daisy May Miller.

Bea was a caregiver at a nursing home. She enjoyed watching court TV show sand doing crowssword puzzles.

She is predeceased by her husband James Russell Burriss and son James Russell Burriss Jr; brothers George Miller, Leonard Miller, Charles Miller and sister Ronie.

Bea is survived by her daughter Bonnie Lou Buckler of Mechanicsville, MD; brothers Walter Miller, and Bobby Miller; sisters Lucille Mangialardo, Helen Guthrie, and Betty Cornwell; grandchildren George Buckler Jr., Edward Buckler, and Stacie Leonard, seven great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Family will welcome friends on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 9:30 AM to 11:30AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Internment is private. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
