Pearl M. Gregory, 90, of Lexington Park, MD daughter of the late Mintress Tonn McKenzie and Fentress McKenzie was born on April 16, 1926 in Whitesville, North Carolina. She departed this life Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 12:17 AM at home surrounded by her loving family.

Pearl was the loving wife of the late John Richard Gregory whom she married on May 21, 1952, and whom passed away on March 9, 1991.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a Social Worker for Calvert County Government for 20 years, retiring in 1991. Pearl also worked as a personal care provider and adult foster care provider, in the senior companion program.

To this union two daughters, and one son were born. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Mrs. Mary Holt of Lexington Park, MD, Annie R. Jones of Colonial Beach, VA, and two sons John Gregory, Jr., and Daniel Peeler both of Lexington Park, MD. Two sons-in-law, Raymond Jones of Colonial Beach, VA, and Gerald Holt of Lexington Park, MD, 5grandsons; 2granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 great grandson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Earl Howerton officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be; James Davis, Carnell Golf, Lionel Toon, Gene Leonard, Dante Clayton, and James (T-Man) Toon. Arrangements provided by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.
