Carolyn Ann Schott, 66, of La Plata, MD passed away at home on November 29, 2015. Carolyn was born on September 9, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Clayton Eckard and Mary Eckard. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Lincoln.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, James Schott; daughter, Christina (Peter) Calomeris; son, William Adams; sisters, Joyce Honderich, Mary (Melvin) Parker and Glenda (Clifford) Winkler; and grandchildren, Alyssa Adams, Mary Adams, Erin Calomeris and Lauren Calomeris.

Carolyn retired from the U.S. Dept. of Navy. After retiring she worked as a Teacher's Aide at Archbishop Neale School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Prayers starting at 6:00 PM) at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD; Interment to follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Charles County or Catholic Charities. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
