Josefina Soliman Estes, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the age of 73. Josefina was born on January 15, 1942 to the late Melguiades and Buenaventura Soliman in Manila, Philippines.

She came to the US in 1968, immediately attending cosmetology school and was a beautician for over 38 years. She was an avid Redskins fan, loved to play bingo and slots, loved gardening, but most of all she enjoyed treating her family and friends to the delicious Filipino food that she prepared.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Oscar Soliman; her brother Demy Soliman; and her sisters, Herminia Gochayco, Adelaida Soliman, and Erlinda Gentry.

Josefina is the loving mother to Gerald Lyons (Karen), Antoinette Lyons, Deborah Pavlik (Chris), all of Mechanicsville, Maryland. She is also survived by her brother, Manuel Soliman; her beloved grandchildren, Maria, Cynthia, Oscar and Sylvester Soliman, Ricky, Devin and Christian Pavlik and Cyra Heflin; and four great grandchildren.

Friends and family received on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 11AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30PM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602. Pallbearers will be Ricky, Devin and Christian Pavlik and Nolan Whims. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
