Richard Carroll Eddy, 75, of Faulkner, MD passed away on November 19, 2015 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. He was born on June 2, 1940 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Isaac Carroll and Anna Mae Michael Eddy. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his grandparents, Newton and Zella Eddy and Ellery and Aliszan Michael; half-sister Blenda Ruth Toothman and brother Michael "Mick" Eddy and his two nephews Randy and Rick Baker; sister in law Dona Allen and brother in law Keith Allen.

Growing up he attended Baxter Methodist Church and school where he was a Patrol Boy. Later he attended E.U.B. Church in Highlawns, Rivesville, WV, where he was a member of the Youth Fellowship. He went to Rivesville High School. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country from 1958-1962. After serving the Marine Corps he worked for several lock companies before starting his own business, Choice Security in 1992.

Richard was an avid golfer and also enjoyed, darts and shooting pool. He was an outdoors man who loved fishing, crabbing and hunting. Richard was full of life and always had a kind word to say. He was loved by everybody he knew. He never knew a stranger. Richard was always the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife Valerie Jean Eddy. One sister Margaret Ann Baker; two sons, Joseph Furnari, William "Billy" Bowling and his wife Vicki and one daughter Staci Bowling and her husband Dave; eight grandchildren, Joey Furnari, Ben Bowling, William Bowling, Robbie Bowling, Emily Bowling, Rachael Furnari, Kalee and Corri Stine; one sister and brother in law Patricia and James Robey; one nephew Keith Allen, Jr; two nieces, Christine Borkoski and Michelle Simone and three great-nephews, Matthew Borkoski, Anthony Simone and Tristan Richard Simone.

Friends received on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5-8pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:30AM, interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
