Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Smith, 80 of Indian Head, MD passed away on October 20, 2015 at United Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Jackie was born in La Plata, MD to the late John Maddox and the late Annie B. Willett. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her loving husband, John Smith; and sisters, Mary E. Maddox and Jane Brown.

Jackie is survived by her sisters, Linda Maddox and Elsie Scott (James); sons, James M. White (Sue Meadows), Robert Dennison White (Georgia) and Richard A. White (Kimberly); daughters, Roberta A. Parks (John Keenan, Jr.) and Annie B. Miller (Dennis); six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Jackie graduated with the first graduating class of Archbishop Neale School, La Plata, MD. She was employed as a Bus Driver for Prince George's County Public Schools. Jackie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Lady's Auxiliary of Clinton and Upper Marlboro VFDs. She loved to watch Jeopardy in her spare time, but above all she loved everyone she met. She will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD 20646 from 5 to 8 PM with prayer's at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, October 29, 2015 11 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Brown, Kenneth Brown, Randy Parks, Dennis Miller, John Scott, Timothy Bentley, Jr. and John Keenan, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
