Dorothy Frazier Basye, age 95, of Huntingtown, MD died October 10, 2015, at home. Born May 20, 1920 at Sibley Hospital in DC, Dot was the only child of Amos W. and Gertrude P. Frazier of the District. She graduated from high school and shortly thereafter met and in 1940 married her husband of 69 years W. Harding Basye.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, husband, firstborn son William Harding and great-grandson Kyle Richardson. She is survived by her sons Robert A. and Melvin L., daughters Carol Ann Richardson and Linda Lee Dziekan, grandchildren Shenna Basye-Cara, Alison Basye, Carrie Becker, Brian Basye, Kasey Richardson, Kimberly Sanford, Sarah Garrett and Leanne Frykman, nine great-grandchildren, and by the admiration and respect of all whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m, Friday, October 16 at the Glenwood Cemetery chapel, 2219 Lincoln Rd. NE, Washington, DC 20002, with interment immediately following the ceremony. Arrangements provided by Huntt Funeral Home.
