Johnny Jackson Phelps, 51, of Newburg, MD passed away on August 27, 2015. Johnny was born on March 17, 1964 in West Virginia to John Ireland Phelps and the late Audrey Louise Decker.

Johnny is survived by his father, John Phelps; fiancé, Tammy Lynn Miller; daughter, Brandy Bruce and her husband, Chris; sons, Johnny, Jr. and Proctor Phelps; step-daughter, Ashley Miller; step-sons, Sean and Bryan Miller; brother, Glenn Phelps and his wife, Liz; nephews, Jeff and Brandon Phelps; niece, Laura Phelps; uncle, Roy Redden; step-sister, Sarah Decker; grandchildren, Christopher, Colton and Kaylee Bruce; and step-children, Alyssa Miller and Joshua Weaver.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. A Funeral Service will also be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home. Interment immediately following at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 13472 Poplar Hill Rd., Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers are Johnny Phelps, Jr., Proctor Phelps, Donnie Brubaker, Chris Bruce, Steve Noel and Glenn Phelps. To honor Johnny's memory, the family welcomes camouflage attire.
