Sharon Kay Warfield, 59, of Benedict, Maryland, died August 31, 2015, at Hospice House of Charles County surrounded by her family. 'Sherry' was born in Prince Frederick, Maryland, the daughter of Hazel Crismond Warfield and the late Barnsley E. Warfield.

Sherry attended Charles County Public Schools and Spring Dell Center. She worked as a trainee at Melwood Horticultural Center for most of her adult life. Sherry loved to spend time with her family. She loved all of her nieces and nephews. She loved to play cards and write letters to family members who lived out of town. Sherry was a member of the Girls Scouts of America.

Sherry loved the Washington Redskins and watched every game with enthusiasm! She enjoyed bowling, loved to dance, and sang in the church choir. She loved all animals and had many pets including her circus cat, Millie. Sherry competed in the Special Olympics in Charles County for as many years as she was physically able to do so. It was a highlight in her life.

Sharon Kay is survived by her mother, Hazel Crismond Warfield, her sisters, Emori Warfield-Koegel (Bill), Barney O'Quinn (Larry), Elise Zeigler (David), and her brother, JosephWarfield (Jackie), her nieces and nephews: Kevin Warfield, Stephanie Carney, J.R.Warfield, Dawn Warfield, Jessica Braun, Andrew Braun, Rebecca Caudill, Ashley Swartz, Lawrence Evans,III, and Perry O'Quinn.

A funeral service was held on September 3, 2015 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, MD. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of Charles County or The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Arrangements were handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall.
