Robert "Bob" Connor, 83, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away on July 24, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. Bob was born in Carbondale, PA the son of the late William and Catherine Connor.

Bob graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1950. Bob enlisted in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 82 Airborne. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC.

Bob is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Catherine Connor Rourke and Deacon Walter Rourke; nieces, Deborah Rourke Reumont, Janice Rourke Love, Teresa Rourke Jones, Mary Colleen Rourke Johnston, Sheila Gaither Vaughn, Mary Ellen Gaither Bayne, Alice Connor Hall, Patricia Connor Elliott, Maureen Connor Stackselth; and nephews, Timothy Rourke, Robert Gaither and Bill Connor; as well as nine loving grand-nieces and nine loving grand-nephews. Bob was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Connor, Albert Connor, Paul Ryan and one sister, Mary Ryan Gaither.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Holy Ghost Church, 15848 Rock Point Rd., Newburg, MD from 10:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy., Cheltenham, MD. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
